Press House concludes the "Investigative Journalism" course

On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Press House - Palestine concluded the "Investigative Journalism" training course ", which targeted 15 graduates of media colleges in the Gaza Strip

The training course was held in Gaza City for (7) days respectively, with a total of (35) hours of training, presented by Mohammed Abu Qamar, an Investigative Journalist.

Mr. Mohammed Abu Qamar reviewed a number of topics to raise the cognitive abilities of the trainees about the exploratory study to prepare the investigative report, methods of collecting information, preparation of the hypothesis and research methodology, as well as investment technology to serve the investigations, adding to those ways of legal protection for the dissemination of information.

For his part, Mr. Abdullah Sharsharah, Coordinator of the Legal Protection Unit for Journalists, reviewed the laws governing the investigative reports, what Palestinian law legislates during the preparation of the investigation, and how to legally protect the collection of data procedure and information from various sources, referring to the Press House legal protection manual.

In the practical framework, the trainer divided the participants into five groups, each consisting of three trainees working on the same title, to raise their cognitive and functional abilities.

All these investigative reports were prepared by the trainees within the framework of practical training, as they were presented to technical and legal evaluation committees before being published.
