Press House implements psychosocial support sessions for the first group of Palestinian Female journalists

On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, Press House-Palestine implemented psychosocial support sessions for the first group of Palestinian Female journalists as part of "Journalists Camp"  project  funded by the Canadian government .

The four-day sessions, presented by psychologist Fatin Shallah, focused on promoting mental health, reducing negative emotions and improving the psychological condition of Palestinian female journalist .

The psychosocial support sessions for Palestinian female journalists addressed the knowledge and confidence-building between the participants and the trainer, as well as the rigorous events and their impact on female journalists, and how to reduce the symptoms of these event .

During the session, some activities were implemented to promote their psychological well-being and resilience, and to nurture a spirit of hope, through an activity that aspires to build their professional and personal futures and to develop a vision of the future that inspires striving, earnestness and optimism to reach their aspirations . 

Trainer Fatin Shallah confirmed that there was a very great and impressive interaction, harmony and response from Palestinian journalists who participated  in these sessions, which will reflect positively on the nature of their lives. 

 

A number of female journalists who participated  in  the psychosocial support sessions,         
" First Group ", suggested to intensify such sessions for both Female and Male 
journalists, as these sessions were of  a great importance to the behavior of their lives .
