Press House – Palestine and Supernova (France) Conclude "Gaza Voice" Project

Press House – Palestine and the French organization Supernova concluded on Monday, February 2, 2026, the "Gaza Voice: Enhancing Media Skills through Mobile Journalism Training" project, funded by the French foundation "Frontlines For Peace."

Spanning 50 training days with a total of 240 training hours, the "Gaza Voice" project targeted 20 participants, including professional journalists, media graduates, enthusiasts, and media activists. The program focused on three primary pillars: Communication and Media Skills, Mobile Journalism, and Media Terminology in English.

Communication and Media Skills Course

Press House implemented a 7-day training course titled "Communication and Media Skills." The curriculum covered:

Constructing persuasive media messages.

Digital content management and integrated content planning.

Drafting emergency messages and position statements.

Fact-checking and countering rumors and "fake news."

Mobile Journalism Course

This 20-day intensive course provided a comprehensive introduction to mobile journalism. Key modules included:

Introduction to mobile journalism and cinematic shot types.

Fundamentals of smartphone photography and videography.

Standards and ethics for filmed press interviews.

Scriptwriting from concept to execution.

Voice-over techniques and narration skills.

Mobile editing basics using various specialized applications.

By the end of this course, participants successfully produced 20 video reports, showcasing the practical skills acquired during the training.

Media Terminology in English Course

Over 20 training days, this course introduced participants to the landscape of international media. Topics included:

Nuances between local and international media terminology.

Key vocabulary used in news reporting and global media discourse.

Case studies and models from international media outlets.

The "Gaza Voice" program offered participants a unique opportunity to engage with elite international journalists and experts. Beyond linguistic training, the program provided essential guidance on working efficiently under mounting field pressure, selecting impactful terminology for international audiences to ensure clarity and objectivity, and mastering professional mobile cinematography to keep pace with the rapid evolution of citizen journalism and digital media.

Closing Ceremony

During the closing ceremony, Julien Dufour, Director of Frontlines For Peace, commended the work of Press House in ensuring the success of the "Gaza Voice" program. He expressed immense pride in the practical outputs produced by the trainees.

"Our foundation will continue to partner with Press House in the coming period," Dufour stated. "The success of 'Gaza Voice' serves our goal of strengthening independent media and mobile journalism, especially as the Gaza Strip is in dire need of professional media development at this time."

He further emphasized that the program's outcomes were profoundly significant, as they addressed numerous Palestinian issues that the world needs to hear.

Additionally, Alexandre Chatillon, Director of Supernova, expressed his gratitude for the partnership with Press House, noting that this collaboration was instrumental in the success of "Gaza Voice" and the professional development of the trainees throughout the program.
