A briefing on the Promotion of the Equality and the Palestinian Social Harmony

The Press House - Palestine, in partnership with the Palestinian Association for Empowerment and local Development (REFORM) held two briefings meetings on a project to promote the Equality and the Palestinian Social Harmony by challenging prevailing stereotypes towards women.

The meetings targeted college students to brief them about the project's objective of challenging discriminatory practices and behaviors that contribute to the promotion of gender inequality by providing safe spaces for marginalized groups, especially youth and women, to discuss gender-based societal issues and to improve the exchange of experiences among the various components of the Palestinian society to promote the social harmony.

Rana Abu Kamil, The coordinator of the project in the Gaza Strip, said that these briefings aimed at introducing students to the specific objectives of the project and its mechanisms and strategy in addition to clarifying the mechanisms of registration and selection, focusing on the target areas in which the project will be implemented.

She also explained that the participated male and female students in the two briefings expressed their interest in the importance of this project and because it highlights the concepts and issue that concerns the Palestinian community.
