Gaza - Press House
On Wednesday, February 16, 2022 the literary Salon Noon, which is an Intellectual Literary women Group, held a literary meeting on the topic of "Readings in Al-Tanki novel by Iraqi novelist Alia Mamdouh” in Press House – Palestine.
With consideration of high prevention measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID 19, the meeting was held at Press House – Palestine (BAS) in the Gaza City, with presence of Ms. Iman Abu Shaban and Dr. May Nayef, with presence of interested people, a group of writers and intellectuals.
Ms. Mai Nayef Nayef welcomed the audience, stating that the novel "Tanki" hit the Iraqis' deepest aches and wounds, and that it outperformed Alia Mamdouh's other eight novels in terms of the main character's power in steering the course of events.
