Gaza, 29/12/2016 --- In cooperation with Ministry of National Economy, Press House- Palestine has organized a meeting for this time , aiming at presenting the issues and challenges that they face and finding solutions.
At the beginning of the meeting, Belal Jadallah, chairman of Press House, welcomed Dr.Ayman Abed, undersecretary- Ya'qoub Al-Ghandour, General Comptroller- Abd Al-Naser Awwad, the Head of Coordination Unit with Private Sector- Abdallah Abu Rweaida, the General Manager of Companies- the representatives and lawyers of the big companies and the journalists concerned about the Economic Affairs.
Jadallah said that this meeting comes within a series of meetings organized by Press House including the political, media and economic ones that aim at enhancing freedom of expression. He also explained that this economic meeting aims at enhancing dialogue and ways of presenting problems, since there are many problems that need serious solutions.
He added; " This critical meeting gives the heads of companies a space to present their problems in the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Economy.
In his turn, the Undersecretary Ayman Abed said that this meeting is so important because there are issues that need solutions, where the Ministry of National Economy has to support the private companies in the existence of the big companies upon the system.
Abed added; " At the end of the year, we want you to hold responsibilities towards your work, as it's notable that some companies accumulate their work to the end of the year."
Abed hopes that all the companies keep in touch with the Ministry of National Economy throughout the whole year, especially with the general administration of the companies for making arrangements and not delaying issues.
He said; " The ministry facilitated many issues in order to support every company though."
He also said; " In this meeting, we need to listen to the constructive criticism, and we hereby will facilitate the issues of the companies in order to develop the cooperation with the Ministry and other companies.
Abed confirmed that the ministry is a reference for the all kinds of companies in the Gaza Strip. He also clarified that the ministry is ready to solve all the problems that companies face at any organization of the private sector.
Abed explained that the private sector is essential and important, as it’s the remaining choice in the Strip in the presence of the siege imposed.
In his turn, the counselor Ya'qoub Al-Ghandour, the General Comptroller of companies in the Ministry of Economy, said that the companies are divided into many kinds including 8283 partnership companies; 8283 registered and 4539 active, and 3744 are cancelled by the General Comptroller- 5236Limited Liability companies; 715 cancelled and other 4521 4521 active. He also mentioned that they are 123 branches of foreign organizations that three of them are cancelled, and local branches including 11 registered ones, all of them are active though. Added to this, there are 52 non-profit organizations that all of them are active except the cancelled, as well as active 22 Joint Stock Companies. According to the counselor.
Al-Ghandour explained that the ministry has a list of 17609 individual transactions; 10752 active and 11316 inactive.
Answering Asfour's inquiry, the Undersecretary said; " that the Israeli siege is a compulsory action imposed on us, where all leaders are responsible for the political division."
He asserted that the Gaza Ministry has been trying much to keep in touch with the Ministry of Ramallah, but unfortunately they have given on the Gaza Strip.
