Press House – Palestine concluded the project "Gaza Digital Voices: Empowering Youth for Global Media Engagement" with a closing ceremony held on Thursday, 9 July 2026, celebrating participants' achievements and awarding certificates.
Over the course of 35 training days (175 training hours), the project equipped young journalists in the Gaza Strip with practical digital media skills, enabling them to produce professional content that reflects the humanitarian reality in Gaza while reaching both local and international audiences.
• Specialized Training Tracks and Professional Media Outputs:
The program combined intensive theoretical and hands-on training across three specialized tracks:
Mobile Journalism
Led by the media trainer Hazem Abu Hmaid, participants developed practical skills in mobile reporting, filming, scriptwriting, visual storytelling, and editing. The training resulted in the production of 14 short documentary-style reports highlighting humanitarian and social issues in Gaza.

English for Media Terminology
Delivered by the academic Wisam Al-Shanti, this training strengthened participants' ability to communicate with international audiences through media English, journalistic writing, media translation, interviewing skills, and professional newsroom terminology.

Audio Journalism & Podcast Production
Participants in the Audio Journalism and Podcast Production course, delivered by the media trainer Hazem Abu Hamid, received practical skills in studio-based audio production, radio scriptwriting, audio editing, and podcast production techniques. The training concluded with the production of six podcast episodes, translated into English, highlighting the humanitarian reality in Gaza, in preparation for publication across digital platforms.

The closing ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participants in recognition of their commitment and dedication throughout the whole training program. Their hard work resulted in the production of professional media content that contributed to strengthening the Palestinian narrative and bringing it to both local and international audiences.
The project represents another milestone in Press House – Palestine’s mission to empower young media professionals by transforming training into impactful media production. It reaffirms its ongoing commitment to supporting young journalists through capacity-building and production opportunities, based on the belief that investing in youth is an investment in a stronger, more influential Palestinian media sector with a wider local and international presence.
