Gaza, 1/11/2016--- In cooperation with united cultural and social society, Press House concluded a training course about the international humanitarian law.
The three-day course was led by the lawyer Fatma Ashour and 25 journalists of both gender in a total of 15 training hours.
The first day focuses on raising the awareness of journalists about the humanitarian law and spaces of applying it in the Palestinian territories.
The second day lecture focuses on Fourth Geneva convention and its articles, as well as the situation of Palestinian toward this law.
The third day focuses on the Palestinians laws that protect journalists and the extent of its suitability, and to where journalists can go in case they are violated.
At the end of the training course, certificates were granted to the trainees.
Worth noting that this course came within Capacity Building Program and the activities of " Enhancing freedom of Expression, Democracy& independence media of Palestine" Project, funded by the Swiss and Norwegian Governments.
