Gaza, 13/08/2016--- Cultural Qurtoba organized an evening meeting titled," Leading Creativity for Palestinian Youth", on the occasion of the international day of youth, at Qurtoba restaurant, west of Gaza, funded by Press House- Palestine.
The meeting was attended by several journalists and educated young men, as well as an art band for Abdel-Raouf Al-Belbesy, where many pieces of poetry have been presented by the poet Samah Al-Mzayen and Mamoud Al-Shaer as well as Stand-up Comedy part presented by Nabil Diab.
Exchange opinions and ideas about the importance of culture for journalists and everyone among the attendees was monitored, where the reasons beyond the lack of culture was also discussed.
Mr. Ahmad Ba'lousha, lecturer, said that culture plays a big role in the humans lives at the recent time, where youth play a greater role in activating this issue, adding that " culture is still the engine of the human deeds"
During his speech, Ba'lousha mentioned that legends and philosophers sayings about the definition of culture differ from one to another as everyone defines upon his point of view, noting that culture is so essential for journalists and Palestinian youth .
In her turn, the journalist Rawan Sawan talked about the media and culture responsibilities for youth, and the absence of education and culture leaders in the Palestinian community.
Discussion door was opened for everyone to ask any question they want, where Saly Al-Turk said that she refused to join some media outlets due to lack of objectivity, asserting that she seeks to freely talk, not to reflect what the representative says.
The journalist Fatma Dyab talked about the importance of creating educated and generation that can affect the society in building decisions and picking on theories.
Worth noting that this meeting came within a number of media initiatives supported by Press House-Palestine, and the activities of : Building Journalists Capabilities Program, as well as " Enhance Freedom of expression, Democracy& independency of media in Palestine " project funded by the Swiss and Norwegian Governments.
