Gaza- Tues Dec 24, 2013 --- Press House – Palestine organized a workshop to exchange media expertise and knowledge between senior and new journalists in Gaza.
The workshop gathered approximately seventy male and female journalists along with a number of senior journalists working in the field for tens of years.
A group of six senior journalists led the workshop: Reham Abd Elkareem (Director of MBC group in Gaza Strip), Shams Shana’a (Manager of Lens Company for media production), Ahmed Zoghbor (Anchor for Alaqsa Radio), Saud Abu Ramdan (Reporter for the German News Agency in Gaza), Tamer El-Meshal (Reporter for Aljazera Channel), Emad Eid (Manager of Ma’an Office in Gaza).
The seniors talked extensively about their professional experience in journalism in front of the new journalists, stressing that journalism is a difficult and demanding job; specially, in the light of the difficult conditions people live in the Palestinian territories.
They advised the new journalists to be patient and perseverant to be able to continue their journey in journalism, noting that they had tough beginnings; where information was hard to get unlike the current era of technological development.
At the end of the meeting, the door was open for the fresh journalists to ask and discuss questions with senior journalists to benefit from their professional experience and how they could face and cope up with difficulties of journalism work.
