Press House holds legal awareness session on the topic of "Women Journalist's Rights in Media Organizations

On Tuesday, February 01, 2022, Press House – Palestine (BAS) held a legal awareness session on the topic of "Women Journalist's Rights in Media Organizations", as part of "Legal Protection for Palestinian Journalists" project activities, in partnership with the European Endowment for Democracy.

The awareness session was held in Gaza City, with consideration of high prevention measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID 19, with participation of a number of journalists (women and men), students and graduates of media colleges.

The session was opened by Mr. Abdallah Sharsharah, Coordinator of the Legal Protection Unit for Journalists at Press House, as he welcomed the audience, stressing that Press House strengthening and building journalists’ capacity in many legal fields related to their profession.

Mr. Mohammed Al Jaesh, Facilitator of the Session, talked about journalist's rights whose working in media organizations and its reality, in addition, Ms. Ruba Al Ajrami shared with the audience her experience as a media journalist about women journalist's rights.

The awareness session included a number of participations from journalists (women and men), which focused on problems they face during their media work and on social media platforms.
