The Legal Protection Unit for Journalists at Press House - Palestine (BAS) has published a factsheet on violations against media freedoms in Palestine in January, 2021.
The factsheet explained violations committed against Palestinian journalists (women and men) by Israeli Occupation and internal entities in addition to the violations against digital rights.
In January 2021, many other violations have been witnessed: renewing imprisonment of (4) journalists (4) cases of temporary detention, and preventing (32) journalists from coverage by Israeli occupation. Internally, (1) journalist was summoned by the local authorities, and one journalist was trailed by Palestinian courts. In addition (8) social media pages belonging to journalists and media institutions were banned.
