Gaza - Press House
On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, Press House - Palestine (BAS) organized a workshop on the topic of "Skills from Google", in the presence of a group of students and graduates of the faculties of journalism and media in Gaza Strip.
The facilitator of the workshop was a journalist Abdul Rahim Al-Dahdouh, addressing what Google's skills are and how to use them to serve personal skills in journalism in all its forms.
Mr. Al-Dahdouh discussed the reasons for being on social media platforms and electronic platforms and the concept of the golden opportunity in investing in different communication platforms, the most important of which (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) and many other platforms, the importance of being present on them, and how to promote presence in a correct way.
Mr. Al-Dahdouh explained the basic principles of online work and various platforms and how to introduce a journalist to himself across the digital world, choosing the right way and platform to present the content and identify the target audience, the reasons for self-marketing, and the development of the business to get an online job opportunity or create private business and marketed over the Internet.
Mr. Al-Dahdouh pointed out the importance of knowledge of various skills related to the field of journalism and media, such as writing, photography, editing and presentation. Etc., the skills required to achieve the concept of a comprehensive journalist to prepare for the labor market.
Mr. Al-Dahdouh asked a group of questions to participants about the Internet and platforms, how they are used, research skills, C.V preparation and the mechanism of creating an account on the communication platforms that demonstrates the personal identity of the user, by showing an illustrative graphic video to enrich the workshop with information.
