The Literary Noun Salon, which is an intellectual literary feminist group”, organized a two meetings, one of them is a literary meeting and the other is a scientific, at the headquarter of the Press House -Palestine, with the presence of a number of intellectuals, literary and writers.
Fathia Sarsour, the Facilitator of the Scientific meeting held on December 3, 2019, presented the education method used through the Soroban (Intellectual Intelligence) program, hosted by the Technical Director of the program, Filasteen Espeitan, to talk about "Soroban".
Espeitan said that the Soroban, which is a Mental Arithmetic program, has several names, including the “X” Games and the Japanese Abacus, which derive from the Japanese culture, saying that his idea is to master arithmetic operations and accomplish them very quickly using mental imagination or abacus, and this program includes many useful methods that develop the mental capabilities and bring out development for the mind.
The Noun Salon held a literary meeting on 15. Dec .2019, discussing the poetic discourse of the book “Songs of Love” , for the poet Khaled Safi
Dr. Khaled Safi, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Al-Aqsa University and Dr. Yahya Ghaben, the Professor of Literary Criticism at Al-Aqsa University, were both hosted at this meeting.
Dr. Safi said that the literary text cannot be read as an abstract text without searching for the owner of the text, as the text’s property belongs to its recipients after writing it, so it is possible for multiple readings according to the number of each who read it and analyze its texts.
As for the poems of love, and the arguing of some, and their questions about reasons of writing these poems, he emphasized: "We have a police community that deplores for the elderly to do whatever he wants, while in the West the elderly os respected and encouraged to be vibrant, regardless of age.
The cultural Noun Salon holds a continuous literary sessions per month, which aims to discuss novels, short stories or an artistic work.
