The Deirna Youth Team conducted "AlYoutuber-AlSah” initiative, under the patronage of the Press House - Palestine, which targeted 16 of young men and women from the media colleges at Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The 4-day initiative aims to contribute to enabling the skills of new media professionals to create meaningful visual content for advocating human rights issues.
The initiative included a training program dealing with the ethics of journalistic work and its presentation, digital advocacy, as well as mobile photography and montage.
The trainees were able to use effective tactics in advocating human rights and come out with three short films produced by preparing and creating meaningful content and presenting it through the YouTube platform.
The initiative is part of the” Towards an Independent Media Platform for Capacity building, Awareness, and Involvement of Journalists” Project, funded by the Norwegian and Swiss governments.
