The Press House - Palestine completed the second and final stage of the data collection activity as a part of the project “A Step towards a Better Education” which is funded by the German Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.

The “Data Collection” activity included three pillars through the education sector, the most prominent of which is based on the results of the “needs assessment research” which has been conducted in the first and second weeks of last April.

Where, the three pillars of the study are “The new curriculum, the school environment and the guidance”

The activity was carried out by the project team of media graduates (males and females) through holding individual interviews, focus groups, and filling up questionnaires with a new and diverse samples that included a number of teachers, Heads of primary schools, social supervisors as well as directors of some educational departments and directorates in the Ministry of Education from both of males and females in addition to involving the parents of students.

It is noteworthy that the activity has targeted all the governorates of Gaza Strip, where the project team was distributed on each governorate, knowing that they applied what they have learned during the specialized training provided by the project at the first stage.

“A Step Towards a Better Education Project” is being implemented by the Press House-Palestine in cooperation with RLS, which aims at shedding the light on the obstacles in the Education in order to raise the societal awareness through a number of activities that will be going on within 8 months.
