Gaza, 29/11/2017--- In cooperation with the Press House, NCCR organized a meeting to discuss the issue of people with disabilities regarding violence practiced against women.
The meeting was implemented in line with the 16-day campaign to eliminate violence against women and the International day for People with Disabilities, which fall on 3rd, December.
Dr. Wael Abu Rezeq, Head of Home Care Program, opened the meeting, welcoming the guests and participants of journalists and people with disabilities.
He praised the efforts devoted by the NCCR for the Home Care program that provides services to people with disabilities, aiming at creating a specialist at each home and facilitating the service access to those who live in vulnerable places.
Abu Rezeq also thanked the Press House for participating and hosting the meeting and the ongoing support of shedding the light on the important issues of PWD.
He explained the main problematic challenges the WWD suffer from especially the discrimination.
Abu Rezeq opened the discussion door to discuss the issues they have suffered during their life.
The young ladies presented the main challenges some situations they passed through regarding sexual violence. They confirmed that they also face challenges in job opportunities, education and health, where they ask for their rights that are guaranteed by all international laws.
Abu Rezeq stressed on the rights to education, labor and health for PWD.
WWD asked the society to importantly pay attention to their issues, so that they can live normally.
At the end of the meeting, Abu Rezeq delivered a message to the journalists that it's essential to shed the light on this issues, and try to present them to the world for a positive change.
