Press House Palestine organized a press conference on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, for Mr. Muhannad Hadi, the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator for the Palestinian Territory, at Press House's temporary headquarters in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip..
Press House staff supervised the press conference, which was organized prior to the conclusion of Muhannad Hadi's visit to the Gaza Strip. Hadi was accompanied by Antoine Renard, Director of the World Food Programme ; Jonathan Whittall, Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs; and Sam Rose, Director of UNRWA in the Gaza Strip.
During the press conference, Hadi stated that all sectors in the Gaza Strip need full support following the ceasefire agreement and its entry into force.
He added, "The role of the private sector in Gaza must be strengthened, and shelters in Gaza Strip must be supported.
Hadi also emphasized the importance of strengthening the work of international organizations in the coming period in partnership with local community organizations and other organizations, noting that there are major sectors in need of support, such as health, education, nutrition, psychological support, and assistance in shelters. The UN official called for the provision of the necessary assistance to help the people of Gaza in the reconstruction process so that families can return to their homes, stressing that the people of Gaza are in dire need of humanitarian aid.
