Gaza, 27/04/2017---- Deerna Youth Team launched an initiative entitled " Green", funded by the Press House, in cooperation with experts from Jaica Japanese Graduate Associate. The initiative aims to raise journalists' awareness on the importance of keeping the Palestinian environment clean in the Gaza Strip.
30 people including media activists and agriculture experts participated in the initiative, where they all took a stroll around environmental spots of the Gaza Strip, which are the most important places to have shed the light on.
The trip included many places like rubbish station in Yarmouk area, central treatment station in Al-Sheikh Ejlean area, Gaza wadi area, rubbish station in Juhr El-Deik East Gaza, Friendship Garden in Tuffah area and Al-Baladeya Park.
Hassan Abu Safar, Deerna Youth Team Coordinator, confirmed that this initiative aims at shedding the light on the environment situation in the Gaza Strip through making visits to these places by journalists so that they could write reports about the issue, raising the awareness of people on the direct influence of such places on their lives.
