Within Promoting Objective Media  Project In Gaza, Press House Conclude 5 Exchange Meetings

Gaza, 17/08/2016--- Press House- Palestine concluded five exchange meetings within Promoting Objective Media in Gaza project, funded by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Foundation.

The five meetings covered the experiences of the guests in objective media, advocacy and lobby, and writing. The first meeting was with Bathany Hornes, a Canadian Journalist, who talked about her experience in digital information security and her journalistic reports, where the second meeting was with the legal, legal and human rights researcher, who focused on advocacy and lobby campaigns. The first meeting led by the journalist Nedaa Mdoukh, was about how to highlight an issue through an advocacy campaign, while the fourth meeting was with the journalist Julie Pulman, who talked about reporting and how to be an objective journalist despite challenges. The last meeting was led by the writer Atef Abu-Saif, who talked about his experience in writing novels, leaving recommendations to the trainees about  the effective mechanisms that should be followed to activate the Palestinian media in the international community through advocacy campaigns.

The meetings targeted 30 graduates and workers of media and journalism from various areas of the Gaza strip.

This kind of activity aims at enhancing the knowledge of the trainees about advocacy and lobby to shed the light on the Palestinian cause in the international media, and raising their awareness about several journalistic issues, which are important for a better objective media.
