Gaza, 15.02.2016 --- "Free Gaza" and "Youth View" Teams organized a journalistic Seminar spnosered by Press House - Palestine, titled " Media Support Mechanisms For Mohammed Al-Qeeq" on Monday at the main office of Press House- Palestine in Gaza.
Belal Jadallah, the chairman of Press House, said that the issue of Mohammed Al-Qeeq is really important that needs much solidarity and unity of activities.
Jadallah confirmed that Israel has flouted all norms and laws that ensure freedom of expression by imprisoning the journalist Al-Qeeq after e has been accused of inciting the occupation and working against Israel, since he works to show the truth of their crimes.
Jadallah warned of the arresting more the Palestinian journalists on the same occasion, stressing on the importance of conversing the foreign media and other international parties to deliver the message of Muhmmed Al-Qeeq.
In her turn, Lana Shaheen wondered about the absence of the actual role of the Palestinian authority in Mohammed Al-Qeeq issue to survive him, and sending messages without actions instead.
Shaheen asked about more actions for Mohammed Al-Qeeq issue, uniting all the efforts to face the Israeli occupation specially the journalist who are exposed to being in Mohammeds shoes under those violations against them.
In her turn, Samia Al-Zubaidy said that the occupation is making crimes against the journalist Al-Qeeq after the administrative detention, torturing, and the compulsory feeding. She praised the role of the local media in covering the issue of Mohammed Al-Qeeq hunger strike, noting that the absence of media role in accountability towards the official parties and the officials for their roles in ending up the issue.
AL-Zubaidy appealed for more efforts of covering the issue of Al-Qeeq a bit wider, especially by the foreign media which has never mentioned anything about his suffering.
About the role of the Interior Ministry in Gaza withing the activities done for the journalist Al-Qeeq, the engineer Bader Bader confirmed that the ministry facilitates all the activities in solidarity with Al-Qeeq.
