Gaza, 10/12/2015--- Press House hosted a ceremony for opening the first feminist radio on Thursday at its main office in Gaza. "Women Voice" is considered to be the first feminist broadcast of the Gaza Strip, which concerns about womens issues and seek to find them good positions in the society.
The ceremony was attended by a pile of women and legal people as well as tens of journalists and intellectuals. During her speech, Islam Al-Borbar, the head of the broadcast, said ," we are working hard on highlighting women issues at the economic, political, and social levels.
Al-Borbar added, " We pay positive leadership roles in boosting the capabilities of Palestinian women and advocate them to know their rights to justice and equality, so that the future of her and her generation will be assured.
She clarified that this broadcast was created to survive women who have problems and been exposed to violence, then want to talk about their own life without restrictions.
In his turn, Talal Abu-Rokba, the head of Ramallah center for studies, said, " This broadcast will help to highlight the issues of women through the feminist human rights organizations.
He explained that this broadcast will work hard on tackling womens issues, saying " its possible to document stories of women who faced violence inside the Palestinian society.
In her turn, Marriam Abu-Daqqa, a member of the central Committee of the Popular Front, we eagerly support the broadcast, since its an effective tool to show the violations committed by the Israeli Occupation against the civilians as an attempt of documentation.
She concluded, saying " The objective of it must be to highlight the issues of women more through the feminist organization and human right institutions, as well as pay attention to such sensitive issues.
