Gaza, 29/11/2015--- With cooperation with Press House- Palestine, the Arab Network For Media and Opinion Writers organized a seminar on Sunday titled, " Enhance The International Solidarity With Palestine".
Specialists of the field participated in the seminar which was held at the place of the organization and presented worksheets to discuss the mechanism of solidarity with the Palestinian people from all levels of life.
Dr.Alaa Hammouda, who presented the political issue, confirmed that the Political division between Gaza and West Bank is the main problem that threatens the Palestinian issue in the current situations.
Hammouda said that the Palestinian issue is in a need for more support from the embassies and the European communities as a try to defend the Palestinians, pointing out that the final boycott campaigns achieved success. He recommended some mechanisms by which solidarity with Palestine can be well- supported, in addition to working more on the boycott campaigns against Israel products. He asked to start doing something to the solidarity movement through seminars and unconventional protests.
In his turn, Ahmad Shaheenm who presented the media worksheet, stressed on the importance of covering different media messages, by which the Palestinian issue can be reached to the international community more.
Shaheen added that the division and the various faction have affected negatively others opinions about Palestine. He asked to highlight the Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinians and the religious places, including the arrests and desecration for Al-aqsa mosque.
From his turn, Mahmoud Essa, who presented the economics paper, said that Paris convention no longer quenches the needs of the Palestinians.
He added saying," we need to rethink of Paris convention to change a bit some terms of it in a way that suits the Palestinian people, calling the international community to pressure Israel to do that.
He also said that the convention hindered the Palestinian economy to be involved in the global economic system. During his speech, he explained that the ongoing siege exposed to the Gaza Strip and the fake promises from the donor countries hindered the rebuilding process in the Strip too.
Essa stressed on the importance of international union to pressure Israel and obligate it to end the siege upon Gaza, and allow the materials of building to enter Gaza.
The researcher Ramzy Al-Najjar, who presented the Law paper, said that joining Palestine to the international conventions confirms its identity and enhances its aspects of sovereignty.
Al-Najjar pointed out that he prescribed the Palestinian state entities to be within the international system, where the legal obligation pressure Israel to respect the laws of wars and the Fourth Geneva convention.
He stressed on the importance of taking these conventions as a means to help the Palestinians practice their own rights of self-determination, so that Palestine could be known internationally.
Al-Najjar concluded his speech calling to form a Palestinian international law team to find legal mechanisms to use these conventions legally.
