On the Solidarity with the Palestinian Journalist International Day; Press House holds two dialogue sessions in Gaza and West Bank

On Monday, September 26, 2022; the International Day of Solidarity with The Palestinian Journalist, Press House – Palestine held two dialogue meetings in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank on the topic "Mechanisms of Supporting Palestinian Journalists in Enhancing Solidarity & Facing Challenges".

The meeting was held in Gaza City and moderated by Abdullah Sharshra, Coordinator of the Legal Protection Unit for Journalists at Press House, with participation of Mohammed al-Baba, Photojournalist, Wissam Yassin, Media Journalist and Abdel Nasser Abu Aoun, Journalist and in presence of a number of journalists, students and graduates of media colleges.

While the meeting was held in Nablus moderated by Nagham Kilani, Media Journalist, Alaa Badarneh, Photojournalist, and in presence of a number of journalists, students and graduates of media colleges in the West Bank.

The two dialogue meetings reviewed the violations faced by journalists in Palestine, in addition to the stories and success they were able to document, and they also reviewed the importance of the need for a journalist to be impartial during his/her work.

In the same context, they discussed digital rights, in light of technological and digital advancement, there are tools that enable journalists to continue their work successfully and work to share the Palestinian narrative with the world in a variety of ways, despite the harassment Palestinian journalists have experienced at the hands of some social networking sites, as there is thousands of closures of Palestinian journalists and erasure of their digital rights documented.
