Gaza, 19/02/2015 --- “Youth Look” team concluded today the activities of “Youth Activists Forum Week”, which aimed at exchanging media expertise and integrating young journalists with seniors, at the organization’s main office in Gaza.
At the beginning of the closing ceremony, Belal Jadallah, the head of Press House, ensured that the organization always seeks to support young journalists and provides all the possible facilities and support for them.
Jadallah said that the week witnessed various events and seminars with a group of experienced journalists, which in turn supports the efforts of young journalists.
Jadallah also praised the efforts of the young media group “Youth Look” and their role in serving young journalists.
For his turn, the director of governmental information office Eng. Ehab Elghussein, praised the role of the team and the importance of the event they have organized and continued for a week to raise youth media awareness and integrate them with senior journalists.
He ensured that the ministry of information will support such initiatives in the future for its importance to the young journalists. Elghussein thanked Press House for supporting young journalists and for being an incubator for their leading ideas and initiatives. At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed among (130) journalists who participated in the week.
The week included lectures for “Raji Al-Hams” broadcaster for Al-Aqsa Channel, “Wael Abd Alal” specialist in new media, “Ahmad Abu Amer” specialist in media editing, “Adham Abu Selmia” & “Ismael Althwabta” specialists in electronic media and youth media work, and “Tamer Elmeshal” Al-Jazeera correspondent.
Worth mentioning that supporting this initiative came as a part of the project “Empowering freedom of expression, democracy, and independent media” funded by the Swiss and Norwegian governments, and is one of “Building Capacity of Palestinian Journalists” program’ activities.
