Press House Honors the Injured Journalist “Hatem Mousa”

Gaza, 09/02/2015 --- Press House – Palestine honored the injured journalist “Hatem Mousa”, photographer for International Associated Press Agency, amid great media presence, at the organization’s main office in Gaza city.

 

The ceremony started with national anthem of peace, and then they read Al-Fatihah on the souls of martyrs who were killed during the latest Israeli offensive.

 

Belal Jadallah, the head of Press House, welcomed the guests, ensuring that journalism is the job of challagnes and difficulties.

 

In his word, Jadallah said: “Our feelings are mixed in these moments, but, it’s a time when our colleague “Mousa” sends a message to the world that journalists will never stop showing the truth to the world.”

 

Jadallah called the international institutions, syndicates, and institutions that defense freedom of media to exert pressure upon Israel to avoid targeting journalists during media coverage of field events of what is taking place in Palestinian territories.

 

In a short word, the journalist “Hatem Mousa” praised the kind event Press House organized to honor him, ensuring that Press House is a leading organization in serving Palestinian journalists.

 

He also added that he feels proud being among his colleague journalists after a long journey of medication, and stressed that despite the amputation of his leg, he’ll continue his media work.

 

At the end of the ceremony, Jadallah honored the journalist “Mousa” with a souvenir in recognition for his great role in media work for long years.
