Gaza, 7th of December, 2014 --- Press House – Palestine organized an open meeting between Gaza’s journalists, the minister of works “Mofeed Al-Hasaina”, and the general manager of municipal development and lending fund “Abd Al-Ghany Nofal” at the Press House office in Gaza.
At the beginning of the meeting, Belal Jadallah, the head of Press House, welcomed the guests of honor and the attendance, hoping to continue organizing similar meetings where journalists and citizens can obtain information from its official sources.
For his turn, the minister of public works ensured that the ministerial amendment file proposed by the Prime Minister Dr. Ramy Al-Hamdallah came as a result of the conditions and pressure on the government, indicating that the amendment will ease the burden of many ministers who hold more than one portfolio.
Al-Hasaina revealed that contacts are taking place with the finance minister and the prime minister to extend the period to put off the “blue tax” over the fuel of the electricity station.
He also said that the Palestinian government allocated 4 million dollars in preparation for winter. For his part, the general manager of municipal development and lending fund, Eng. Abd Al-Ghany Nofal, said that around 25 million dollars were allocated to finance the first phase of supporting the emergent needs of the municipal sector, financed by the World Bank, the Danish, Belgian governments in addition to the Palestinian government.
Nofal said:”The emergency plan depends on three intervention phases, a short term, medium term, and long term phases; to rehabilitate the basic municipal services and rebuild the infrastructure.
