Press House Organizes a Special Meeting With a French Journalist

Gaza, Sunday, May 25 --- Press House – Palestine organized a meeting with the French journalist "Orlly Sharo", as a part of "Exchange Media Best Practices" program funded by the Swiss and Norwegian governments, in the presence of a number of fresh journalists and media students in the organization's office.

The meeting was opened by the journalist Sharo, she introduced herself and talked about her work experience in the French Radio for seven years, pointing out to the major obstacle she had faced after graduation, which was the difficulty of finding a job.

She said:"In France, in order for journalists to get jobs, they must be creative, so, me and my friend created a new idea to work in the field of journalism, the idea was to convey the daily life of Algeria's youth to French people through a website we launched, exploiting the strong relations between the two countries and the ignorance of French people with Algeria."

Orlly also mentioned that it's very important for the journalist to cope up with the new technology, and to use transmedia, which allows the presentation of the report in writing, accompanied with an audio record, pictures, and video, as it will help the reader to understand all aspects of the subject and will ease its spread among more people.

"This is my first visit to Gaza; to convey the daily lives of the Palestinian youth to French citizens, who don't know anything about Gaza except that they're living under the Israeli siege and war." She added

Sharo noted that she found in Gaza's youth the love of belonging, willpower to achieve their  ambition and dreams, in spite of the siege.
The meeting included questions and discussions between Sharo and the journalists, and a presentation of the main problems Gaza's journalists face.
