Press House Hosts a Meeting with Deaf People to Highlight Their Issues

Gaza, Wed, April 30 --- In cooperation with Press House-Palestine, Future Society For Deaf Adults organized a meeting between a group of journalists from various media outlets and a number of deaf adults; to shed the light on their  problems in the Gaza Strip.

The journalists listened carefully to a thorough review of the reality and problems the deaf adults face. They promised to convey the sufferings and problems of this segment whose number is about 11 thousand deaf from different ages.

Deaf adults, who described their reality as tragic and catastrophic, called media outlets to raise their issues; in a way that guarantees the improvement of their living conditions, blaming the government, relevant ministries,  institutions, media, and the various segments of society.

They also expressed their resentment from the sarcasm they face by  many of the citizens, demanding to teach the signs language within the Palestinian curriculum; to ease the communication with the community.
