On Saturday, November 8, 2025, the Press House – Palestine hosted a media initiative titled “Humanitarian Writing for Podcasts”, which targeted seven trainees and media professionals.
The initiative was held over seven consecutive days and was led by journalist and podcast specialist Hazem Abu Humaid, who addressed topics related to media production, voice-over techniques, and editing software essential for podcast creation.
Additionally, Dr. Saeed Al-Kahlout, a writer and mental health specialist, gave a lecture focusing on storytelling and its importance in podcast production.
Both lecturers and participants praised the Press House – Palestine for providing a suitable and safe space for media work.
For his part, Hekmat Yousef, Director of the Press House, stated that the institution has resumed welcoming journalists to carry out their media mission with professionalism, independence, and objectivity by providing them with a supportive environment. He expressed his happiness at the start of hosting media initiatives implemented by press centers and journalists, made possible through the Press House Rehabilitation Project, funded by the European Endowment for Democracy (EED).
