Gaza - Press House
On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, Press House – Palestine (BAS) held an awareness raising workshop on the topic of "Freelancing in Media Field... Opportunities and Challenges", as part of the Swiss & Norwegian project activities for 2022.
With consideration of high prevention measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID19, the workshop was held in Gaza City, with participation of a number of students and graduates of media colleges.
Ms. Hanadi Olwan, Project Coordinator, opened the workshop and welcomed the attendees, mentioned that Press House interested in opening new ways for journalists (women and men) and graduates of media colleges in freelancing and how to earn income in many journalistic fields.
Eng. Saeb Abdel Nabi talked about the importance of freelancing and how platforms contribute in providing self-income far away from private institutions that have limited opportunities.
Mr. Abd Al Nabi explained the correct way and methods of how they can join the freelancing platforms in many fields that market need as content writing, graphic design, voice over, montage and other skills that students and graduates can work through training. Also, he mentioned some freelancing platforms, as "Khamsat Platform, Mostaqil Platform, Oreed Platform and Tasmemi Platform."
The workshop included a number of participations from participants, which focused on how they can develop their skills and talents and the most important problems facing students and graduates on freelancing platforms.
