Gaza - Press House
On Monday, August 23, 2021, Legal Protection Unit for Journalists at Press House - Palestine implemented field visits for a number of institutions and media companies in the Gaza Strip.
Lawyer Mr. Monther Al Ferani, Counselor at Legal Protection Unit for Journalists, presented the most important tasks and services that Legal Protection Unit provided for journalists (women and men) in Palestine.
Also, Mr. Al Ferani indicating that these visits aim to introduce the Legal Unit and its services which provides for journalists (women and men) working in different media institutions.
From their part, media companies welcomed and thanked Press House on their efforts in serving journalists (women and men) in the Gaza Strip.
The media production companies presented the staff of Legal Protection Unit for Journalists about violations committed by Israeli Occupation during last escalation on the Gaza Strip, May 2021. In addition to that, they stressed the need to work on entering occupational safety equipment for journalists (women and men).
Press House provides free services for journalists (women and men) that aims to strengthening freedom of expression, defending on media freedoms and raising awareness of media professionals by legal counseling which contribute in their legal capacities building and knowing their rights and duties.
The Legal Protection Unit for Journalists at Press House works on monitoring and analyzing violations against journalists (women and men) in a monthly basis and publishes them within periodic reports and within professionalism and respect the privacy of journalists (women and men).
