On Sunday, a meeting of the Students of the Turkish-Palestine Scholarships Gathering held a discussion session with admitted students to the Turkish government scholarship from the Gaza Strip for the year 2019 to learn about the details and complete the registration process.

The meeting, which was held at the Press House-Palestine, was attended by Mohammad Nassar, A PhD student in economics who was accepted in the Turkish scholarship for the year 2016, Amal al-Henawi, A student of Media Studies, and Izz Al-Din Al-Rantisi, A student accepted by the Turkish scholarship, and a group of new admitted students for this year.

Mr. Nassar discussed with students how to complete the registration and the issuance of the important papers before the registration deadline, and focused on the most important things to consider during registration and travel from the Gaza Strip, the material costs the students will encounter, and the help received when arriving in Turkey.

He said that about 40 students were admitted from the Gaza Strip, which is the lowest number in the recent years. This is for unknown reasons, although the interviews were not conducted even via Skype, because the delegation was unable to attend to the Gaza Strip, but for the first time within years there were only a final admission without passing any stages.

The conversation took place between the admitted students about processing papers and its ratification by the Ministry of Education, and learned them about the procedures used when traveling through the Rafah border crossing, in addition to matters related to the arrival at Istanbul airport and how to authenticate papers and head to universities and housing.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish government announced on 15 January a scholarship for all levels (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate). Where the scholarship covers: the travel tickets, accommodation, health insurance, university fees and a monthly salary of TRY 700 for BA, TRY 950 for Master , And TRY 1400 for doctorate.
