On Sunday afternoon, 21 April 2019, the Press House hosted a discussion meeting titled " The Electricity Transmission Company between reality and expectation" , the meeting was organized by Spectra Happiness Youth Team.
The meeting was opened by Muzaffar Doulah, the official of the Spectra Happiness Team, who welcomed the attendance and the Public and media Relations Manager of the Electricity Transmission Company of Gaza Governorates, Mohammad Thabet, who had been interviewed in this discussion meeting.
Thabit spoke in two main topics: the distinction between the transmission company and the power plant, and the most important achievements of the company to alleviate the suffering of the people in the Gaza Strip, especially in the face of the ongoing electricity crisis.
The discussion was opened with the attendees and they talked about a number of blind spots to the citizen, the most important of these were, how the revenue of the subscription fees be spent and the reasons for increase or decrease hours for plugging the electricity in some days, and the phenomenon of widespread generators, and the phenomenon of electricity stealing and how they could be dealt with.
Thabit answered all the questions and queries raised by the team members.
At the end of the meeting, Muzaffar Doulah, the team leader, stressed the importance of raising awareness among young people about the various issues that beset the society and leave many questions unanswered ,he also thanked the Press House Foundation for providing the suitable incubator for such meetings.
