The Press House - Palestine hosted on Tuesday, May 8th 2018 an event organized by Al “Bureij Health Center” the part of “The Society of Culture and Free Thought” over the launch of a lobbying and advocte campaign to influence the decision-makers about limiting the duration of special cases at the Press House in Gaza.
The project coordinator- lawer ‘Manal Mukat’ from Al-Bureij Health Center said "The launch of Hashtag #LIFE_IS_NOT_A JOKE comes as a part of the project to reduce and respond to the increase violence based on gender among girls and displaced women” where that was in cooperating with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Mukat added, that a protection network for lawyers has been established to advocate and defend women's issues and rights within the project's objectives.
Manal also hoped that this campaign would have an impact on the decision-makers, the law will be amended and women will be given their right.
