Gaza, 06/08/2017--- Press House concluded a 30-hour training course on "Investigative Journalism" on Saturday throughout 5 days.
The course targeted seventeen journalists of both genders, who are working for different media outlets in the Gaza Strip.
On the first day of the course, Mrs.Isabelle talked about the reality of investigative journalism, stages of preparing investigative reports, and how to get the resources when creating any investigation.
The course also covered the mechanisms of conducting interviews required for investigation and the best ways of getting information from true resources.
Moreover, the course included explaining and presenting some examples of investigative reports done before for the trainees.
A practical side of training was also added to the course, aiming to guarantee the benefits of the theoretical information presented by the trainer.
Meanwhile, three investigative reports done by the trainees during the course under the supervision of the Swiss Journalist as outputs of the training.
At the end of the course, certificates were awarded to the trainees in the presence of Mr.Belal Jadallah, the chairman of the Press House, who praised the efforts of Mrs.Isabelle devoted in the training and for her readiness to cooperate with the Press House for presenting distinctive information to the Palestinian journalists.
He also confirmed that the Press House always seeks to attracting foreign trainers as a kind of exchange expertise, aiming at enhancing the quality of Palestinian media.
Worth noting that this training course came within building the capacities of Journalists' program, and one of the activities of " Enhancing Freedom of Expression, the Quality and Independency of Palestinian Media" Project, funded by Swiss and Norwegian governments.
