Gaza, 22/05/2017--- Within Face Press Meeting Program implemented by the Press House-Palestine, the Press House organized on Monday a meeting that gathered Palestinian leaders including; Dr.Ghazi Hamad , Leader of Hamas- Dr.Fayez Abu Eitah, Deputy Secretary of Fatah Revolutionary Council- Mr.Jamil Mezher, Member of the political Bureau of the Popular Front , and Mr.Khaled Al-Batsh, Leader of Islamic Jihad Faction, as well as an elite group of writers and political analysts in Gaza city.
At the beginning of the meeting which was led by Akram Atallah, Belal Jadallah, Chairman of Press House, welcomed the representative of factions, confirming that the Press House always seeks to organize such meetings like this.
The Palestinian Factions' Representatives unanimously agreed in separated talks on the importance of ending the political division and going into national unity within the current situations that the Palestinian cause is going through.
Dr. Fayez Abu Eitah, Deputy Decretart of Fatah Revolutionary Council, stressed on the importance of rescuing the Palestinians and the cause within the miserable situations they are passing through.
He also confirmed the serious readiness of Fatah Faction to end the division and get unity back, asserting that there's an importance of getting clear responses from Hamas about giving up on governance of Gaza without conditions or restrictions.
In his turn, Ghazy Hamad, a leader of Hamas, asserted that Hamas's decision is serious about ending the division, where it's not meant to it to control Gaza and it's so ready to deliver the governance of borders to the government.
Hamad stressed on the importance of bridging trust between Hamas and Fatah and activating communication perfectly well between them in order to end the division and be united again.
He noted that there's a necessity to positively tackle the current crisis in order to overcome them, confirming that all crisis of Palestinians since 1994 are accumulated.
In his turn, Mr. Jamil Mezher, Member of the political Bureau of the Popular Front, said that the difficult situation is haunting all parties at the Arab an d regional level, where the political challenges will reflect on the Palestinian situation.
Mezher added; " the White house started some preparations with the advent of Trump presidency, followed with conditions and demands presented by the White House to Palestine to take effect seriously."
He followed; " Washington seeks to go back to investigation with Arabian participation, noting that this is considered as lobby factor on the Palestinians to make future concessions."
Mezher asked to provide a suitable atmosphere for calm and serious discussion through which we can overcome the crisis, noting that it's too difficult to talk about solutions within the media dispute.
Mezher said;" we are in the Popular Front, have presented some ideas and discussed them with officials. " we also think that it's possible to create a basis to overcome the crisis as dealt before in previous conventions."
He added that the real determination to fight against this difficult situation, noting that Cairo agreement and the results of Beirut meeting which were unanimously agreed on, talked about preparing a national Palestinian council, and uniting it as well as working on forming a national unity."
In his turn, Khaled Al-Batsh, Leader of Jihad Faction, said that overcoming the Palestinian crisis needs mechanisms of solutions.
He added, " we are in need for a step forward", where he noted that the president Abbas can organize the internal situation and step forward whatever the situation of Hamas is, as he is the holder of decision who can unite the organization, national council and authority.
Al-Batsh explained that the solution to the current situation is connected to the achievement of reconciliation and agreement on the program and reference, stressing on the importance of the national role in its success.
The discussion door was opened for the attendees to ask questions, where the factions' representatives answered all their inquiries.
