Gaza, 07/03/2017---- Press House- Palestine opened a photo exhibition entitled “ You’re the Hope” in the presence of the Norway Ambassador Hilde Haraldstad, and a number of academic& media people and fresh journalists.
At the beginning of the kick off, Belal Jadallah, the Chairman of the Press House, welcomed the Ambassador of Norway and the attendees, praising the men and women photographers who produced the photos of the exhibition.
Jadallah said that this exhibition aims at shedding the light on photographs of many Palestinian women’s stories and focusing on tolerance towards women.
Jadallah explained that it should be talking about the reality of the Palestinian woman especially the Gazan ones who are living under the siege, on the international woman’s day
Jadallah confirmed that the Israeli occupation prevents the Palestinian women from the simplest rights, exactly as what is happening to the women cancer patients who are deprived from traveling to get abroad treatment.
In her turn, Samar Eliwa said during a speech representing her mates of the exhibition participants, that “ You’re the Hope” Exhibition includes 15 visual storytelling and aims at delivering the voice of the hardworking women through photographs.
She noted that the subjects covered through the stories are humanitarian, where success stories, creativity of women and harsh conditions of living for these women are documented through the photos.
At the end of the exhibition kick off, the photographers and the participants of the visual storytelling including members and organizations were awarded for the efforts devoted to make the exhibition succeed.
