Gaza, 4/2/2017--- Specialists unanimously agree that there’s a necessity to raise the awareness of people on the early check for cancer at the medical clinics.
This came during an activity organized by Hope Smile Organization For Cancer Patients on Saturday in cooperation with Press House, Ministry of Health, Ahli Arab Hospital, Woman Health Center-Jabalia, Culture&Free Thought Association, National Center For Research at the headquarter of the organization in Gaza.
At the beginning of the event, Belal Jadallah, Head of Press House, welcomed the organizers of the event, explaining that the Cancer World Day that take place on 4th, Feb is considered an essential issue which needs effort-cooperation in order to find solutions for fighting this disease.
Jadallah confirmed that depriving the patients from travelling abroad for treatment by the Israeli occupation is a big crime that needs to be reconsider as the patients do have to the treatment.
Jadallah appealed all officials to stand against the occupation and interfere to do anything so that the patients are allowed to travel abroad for treatment.
In his turn, Khaled Lafi, the Excutive Manager of Hope Smile, said that the organization seeks will all possibilities to support cancer patients.
In her turn, Aida Hellis,, the Ministry of Health Representative, said that this event confirms the importance of keeping the efforts up to fight the disease and raise people’s awareness of it.
Hellis explained that Colon and Lung Cancers are the most popular sort that is spread, while Breast Cancer is the most popular sort among women.
She also explained that the majority of cancer cases can be recovered through the early detection and following a healthy syste
Hellis asserted that the ministry keeps the good work to support cancer patients so that they could be treated before it’s too late.
In his turn, Dr.Mohammad Al-Naqa assurd, Al-Ahli Arab Hospital Representative, ensured in his speech that the siege imposed on the Strip is the main factor that causes the increase on the number of deaths who were not allowed to travel for treatment.
Al-Naqa clarified that women must protect themselves by the early check on cancer.
He also said that the Ahli Arab Hospital provides a free check on the disease in order to save the lives as biggest number of patients as possible.
