On International Womens Day, Press House Opens An Exhibition

Gaza, 8/3/2016--- Press House- Palestine opened an exhibition, titled" Through Their Eyes" within the Media Initiatives Support Program, as an activity of Enhancing Freedom of Expression, Democracy and Independence of Palestinian Media, at the headquarter of the organization in Gaza.

 

The exhibition includes photos of beautiful of aesthetic touches, which were taken by female photographers; Zeinab Ouda, Sana Al-Ajez, Nadia Hasanneya, on the occasion of The International Womens Day, which fall on March 8th.

 

Bealal Jadallah, the chairman of Press House, said that the international Womens Day is a special occasion, where the Palestinian hard-working woman is a clear example of struggle, who are exposed to violations and massacres during their work. Jadallah asked to whom it may concern to defend womens rights, enhance their roles in the society, and protect their rights, as well as appreciate their struggle and resistance.

 

He stressed on the role of Press House in supporting the talents and enhancing womens role and participation in the Palestinian media.

 

In her return, Zeinab ouda pointed out that the objective of the exhibition is to highlight the beauty through womens cameras, and appreciate womens work in photography.

 

Through Their Eyes" congratulated the Palestinian women on the occasion of the international womens day, praising Press House about supporting and organizing the exhibition.

 

The camera of the photographers documented the suffering of the first woman in Gaza, who worked as a carpenter, where Amal Al-Qeeq said during a speech that she changes the Palestinian society view about carpentry for women.

 

Abu-Alqeeq added that women can make the impossible and never stop due to situations.

 

They take these situations as a push towards life. Abu-Qeeq thanked the photographers for organizing the exhibition and highlighting carepentry through womens cameras, on the occasion of the International Womens Day.
