Gaza, 29/12/2015--- Press House- Palestine hosted on Tuesday a media conference, organized by the Palestinian Commission For Refugees, titled " a Child not a Criminal" at its main office in Gaza.
This conference came within the commissions activities of the lobbying and advocacy to amend the juveniles law No 2, 1937, of the law protection of juveniles enhancement project.
Khaled Shaban, the head of the commission, said that the law no longer suits the current situations of the Palestinian society, since it offensively judge children in a firm way.
Shaban added that children dont need a power to stop them. Rather they need care and guidance, asking to address more consensus Palestinian legislations for the juveniles, in accordance with the international laws.
In his turn, Salama Bseeso, the president of the union of Palestinian lawyers, said that there must be edits on the law by forcing to whom it may concern.
Bseeso sent an appeal to make cooperation in order to achieve positive results, that contribute to finding practical solutions to juveniles issue, suggested special cure centers for them as well.
