Gaza, 21/12/2015 --- Representatives of factions seconded that thereطs a necessity of creating well-built national project through a comprehensive review of all the stages of the Palestinian struggle over the past years.
This came through a meeting, organized by Press House- Palestine within Face Press Program on Monday, in presence with Dr. Faisal Abu-Shahla, a common leader in Fatah- Ghazy Hamad, a senior officer in Hamas- Jamil Mezher, a leader in the Popular Front (PFLP)-and Khaled Batsh, a member in the Islamic Jihad- as well as a group of selected Palestinian writers: Mustafa Ibrahim, Akram Atallah, Tawfiq Abu Shomar, Atef Abu Saif, Talal Okal, Muhsen Abu- Ramadan, Husam Al-Dajany- Donia Al-Amal Ismail, Hani Habib, Fareh Abu-Meddain, Abdel-Naser Ferwana, Hassan Abdo, Mokhemar Abu Saada, Helmy Musa, and a pile of intellectuals.
Abu-Shahla said that the Palestinian issue faces a real conspiracy in an attempt to be fully vanished and buried, since the Israel actions are a great evidence moving towards this goal.
He added, " The idea of vanishing the Palestinian issue conspiracy has been created for so long,; since Arial Sharons withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the creation of separating wall, the spread of settlements in Jerusalem and the West bank, and Judaizing Al-aqsa and its temporal and spatial repartition attempt.
The Israel strategies got the Palestinian people disappointed and desperate, especially after having no solutions to the problems and crises.
Abu Shahla stressed on building the national unity by actions, calling for doing the unanimous terms of the national unity conventions.
In his turn, Ghazy Hamad, the leader of Hamas, confirmed that the Palestinian issue is long, complex and cumulative, and the best solutions for it are nothing but partial and prosthesis.
Hamad called for rebuilding the national unity project to help all Palestinians, and to be the main base of solving all the outstanding issues and problems.
In his turn, Jamil Mezher, said that the problem lies in the struggle of authority and the national project, that depends on the authority itself ; which can be considered to be the reason of the ongoing struggle.
He clarified that this struggle came against peoples interests, adding : " We are no longer able to solve the problems of the national project. Rather we are looking for daily problems and solutions for the citizens. "
He assured that theres no real determination for moving forward on the national reconciliation file, clarifying that the national project is in need for corrections and thorough review.
Mezher called for holding a united- factions meeting to set solutions for all of the Palestinian crises and issues.
In his turn, Khaled Al-Batsh assured that there are specific solutions they can take, but the problems in how to implement these solutions on reality.
Al-Batsh wondered if theres any possibility to apply the terms of reconciliation conventions instead of setting solutions, calling for holding some techniques to force everyone to apply the terms of the national conciliation conventions.
He explained that the common step of applying reconciliation lies in distrubting roles not in real cooperation, asking the President Abbas and Khaled Meshaal to hold an urgent meeting, starting to apply the terms of reconciliation conventions.
Al-Batsh asked to set real steps to assess the Palestinian situation and stop the political division as well as create a national unity government, stressing on the importance of participation in the political regime and the Palestinian national project.
The meeting included such views and opinions by a number of writers, trying to find logical solutions to the outstanding Palestinian issues.
A pile of writers and intellectuals asked Press House- Palestine to hold ongoing similar sessions and meeting to find solutions to the current Palestinian issue.
The chairman of Press House expressed his welcoming willingness to develop such meeting like this and hold more in a continuous way.
Worth mentioning that this meeting comes within the activities of Enhancing Freedom of Expression Democracy and Independency of Palestinian Media project, funded by the Swiss and Norwegian government.
