Gaza,19/9/2015 --- Press House- Palestine organized a meeting about people with disabilities issues titled "Exchange Media Best Practices" with Mr. Thomas Eide, who suffers from motor impairment, coming from Norway.

This meeting aimed at highlighting Media roles in representing people with disabilities issues and delivering their message to the international and local communities.

Many journalists attended the meeting, where they discussed some critical issues that people with disabilities face in Gaza, in comparison to people with disabilities in Norway.

Press House board of the directors welcomed Thomas Edie and the journalists, asserting the importance of participation at such awareness meetings.

In his turn, Edie confirmed that people with disabilities in Gaza strip are in a great need for help especially within the nasty conditions they live through.

He added that he made interviews with some people with disabilities who need wheel chairs, confirming that most of the wheelchairs need to be repaired. Edie asserted that what he has seen in Gaza will be totally delivered to Norway, trying to lend a helping hand and hoping his attempts work out.

Worth mentioning that this meeting was held as a part of "Exchange Media Best Practices " Program activities under “Empowering Freedom of Expression, Democracy, & Independency of Palestinian Media” Project, funded by the Swiss and Norwegian governments.
