Gaza, 17/8/2015 --- Press House- Palestine concluded a three-day training course in "Social Media for a total of 15 hours with participation of 28 journalists and media graduates.
Saady Hamad, the trainer of the course, asserted that this course aims at identifying some social media networks and presenting how to use them to get news and information.
Hamad said that this course focused on disseminating the content of reports mechanisms, pointing out that it helped the trainees deal very well with the information which is posted on social websites, in addition to presenting some ways that help them keep their accounts secured.
In her return, Saadeya Abu Halima, one of the trainees, asserted that the practical side of the course helped her practically use the social media websites, adding that so many social media concepts and techniques were unfamiliar to her before the course.
Abu Halima asked Press house work stuff to hold more courses that enhance social media websites concepts. The trainee Ahmad Hammoda considered this course as one of the most important one through which he got benefits, adding that it came in a time when social media plays an essential role in enhancing concepts and communicating the outside world.
Hammoda confirmed that the ongoing three-day course provided him with some concepts and techniques that he has not heard of before, asking for more courses which empower graduates capabilities and help them be in touch with the outside world.
Certifications were distributed among the trainees at the end of training. Worth mentioning that this course was implemented as a part of "Capacity Building of Journalists" Program activities under “Enhance Freedom of Expression, Democracy, & Independency of Palestinian Media” Project, funded by the Swiss and Norwegian governments.
