Gaza/Tuesday, Press House-Palestine received Mrs. Marte Teie Hellum, the Program Advisor in the Norwegian Representative at its main Gaza office.
Mrs. Hellum was welcomed by Press House’s board of directors and other Palestinian journalists. She listened to short briefing on the projects undertaken by press House-Palestine in addition to the organization’s mission, objectives, values and future plans.
She also listened to how media people work and the kind of difficulties they face as well as the essential requirements that must be available to them, especially in light of the hard times the Palestinian Territories goes through.
Afterwards, Mrs. Marte Hellum had a meeting with a number of English speaking journalists, during which they discussed various issues, most notably the freedom of speech and freedom of expression in addition to other issues that are of importance to journalists and media people.
The needs and requirements of the Palestinian journalists were also discussed, where the journalists gave a detailed explanation about the reality of the media and media people.
