The Press House Concludes Psychological and Social Support Sessions for 15 Female Journalists

Press House – Palestine concluded three group psychosocial support sessions at its headquarters in Gaza City on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, targeting 15 female journalists. The sessions were held as part of the project “Mental Health Helpline and Psychosocial Support Sessions for Journalists in the Gaza Strip 2026–2027” funded by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

The sessions, facilitated by psychologist Nour Joudeh over three days (five hours per day), covered key topics including stress management, coping with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self-care skills, Psychological First Aid (PFA), and awareness of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The sessions also featured interactive activities, emotional release exercises, and guided games aimed at promoting emotional expression and strengthening mutual support among participants.

These sessions are part of Press House's ongoing efforts to provide safe spaces for psychological support and help alleviate the exceptional burdens and pressures faced by female journalists while carrying out their journalistic work in the field.

The final day of the psychosocial support sessions also included a legal awareness session delivered by Press House's Legal Advisor, Munther Al-Farrani, which addressed journalists' rights under the Palestinian Labor Law.
