On Thursday, May 25, 2023, Press House – Palestine held a legal awareness workshop on "Guidelines for the Preparation of Media Reports on Children".
The workshop was presented by lawyer Fatima Ashour, in the presence of a number of journalists, students and graduates of media colleges in the Gaza Strip.
Lawyer Ashour reviewed the most important principles related to the preparation of media reports about children, such as respecting the right of children and their families to privacy, consulting parents about the political, social, and cultural implications of the Press report, and refraining from publishing any media report that may expose the child or his family to danger or cause any kind of damage.
