Gaza – Press House
The future nurses team held a first aid course on "nursing skills" for the students of the nursing faculties at the Universities of the Gaza Strip through 4 meetings that lasted from 06 to 16 March 2022.
The course was hosted by Press House office in Gaza City, with high prevention and safety measures from COVID-19 pandemic, with participation of the director of future nurses team Majd Abu Jayyab.
Abu Jayyab said that the goal of the first aid course is to teach students several skills, including assessing the patient's condition and how to resuscitate the heart, as well as the contents of the first-aid package and knowing the vital signs of human body (temperature, pressure, SpO2, pulse); so they can become ready for training in hospitals.
He emphasized on the importance of early intervention in emergency medical cases, whether at home, street or wherever they are, and to be able to save people's lives before the arrival of ambulances.
