Gaza - Press House
On Thursday, January 06, 2022, Press House – Palestine (BAS) held the written exam for applicants (women and men) for the on-Job Training Program at Sawa News Agency 2022, as part of "Strengthening Free & Independent Media in Palestine" project activities, in partnership with the Norwegian and Swiss Governments.
With consideration of high prevention measures to prevent the outbreak of COVID 19, the exam was held at Press House in the Gaza City, with participation of (338) applicants (women and men) from graduates of media and journalism faculties.
The procedures of selecting the participants went through many stages, as Press House published an announcement for the on-Job Training Program opportunity at different social media platforms from 8-13th December, 2021, where Press House has received (521) applications during this duration. Then the written exam was held in organized groups and at different times. The exam included an audio-visual material were played for applicants and asked them to write a press release in that regard.
Press House implements the On-Job Training Program for new journalists at Sawa News Agency to strengthening their abilities in writing news, reports and stories and hold interviews by professional and independent way.
