Gaza - Press House
On June 2021, Press House - Palestine launched a media campaign to enhance freedom of expression among Palestinian community and highlighting Israeli Occupation violations against media freedoms during lasted Israeli escalation against the Gaza Strip, as part of the Legal Protection for Journalists project activities which implemented by Press House in partnership with the European Endowment for Democracy.
Lawyer Abdullah Sharsharah, Coordinator of Legal Protection Unit for Journalists at Press House, mentioned that the media campaign aims to raise awareness among the Palestinian community in general, and journalists in particular about freedom of expression and media freedoms, in addition to the importance of highlighting on the importance of legal protection for journalists (women and men).
The media campaign included publication of billboards in the Gaza Strip governorates and showing violations against media freedoms during Israeli escalation on the Gaza Strip, also broadcasting a radio spot on local radios talking about freedom of expression as a basic right from human rights.
